Associate Press hiring ​Indigenous Affairs Reporting Fellow

We’re seeking a talented and versatile early career reporter for an 18-month fellowship covering Indigenous affairs on the U.S. News team. Reporting to the Mountain West assistant news director, you will produce multiformat, nuanced storytelling that centers Indigenous voices and adds new and underrepresented perspectives to the AP report. Our ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of tribal sovereignty and the trust responsibility of the U.S. government, and a proven ability to cultivate sources to break news and produce enterprise for digital audiences. 

You will work across a range of topics that include health, education, criminal justice, politics, and climate and environment, ensuring stories resonate around the world...
