Starting in 2019, crews from SRP, along with those from over 20 other utilities, participated in a project called Light Up Navajo, which is led by the American Public Power Association (APPA) and Navajo Tribal Utility Authority (NTUA). The effort continues with now more than 40 utilities to bring power to some of the nearly 13,000 homes in the Navajo Nation that do not have electricity. 

The mission of the Division of Energy and Mineral Development is to provide the best possible technical and economic advice and services in assisting Indian mineral owners to achieve economic self-sufficiency by creating sustainable economies through the environmentally sound development of their energy and mineral resources.

NREL provides decision support, technical assistance, and resources to assist federally recognized U.S. Tribes and Alaska Native villages plan for and implement clean energy solutions.

Our mission is to grow Indigenous-led solar power knowledge and solutions with Hopi and Diné (Navajo) families and communities. NRI installs off-grid solar with battery storage to provide power to families on the Navajo and Hopi Nations through our Hozho Homes Program

Our approach includes active community engagement and local capacity building, empowering residents with the skills for long-term self-reliance and resilience.

Indigenous Energy is a renewable fuels and energy consulting firm that partners with stakeholders to promote and advance the use of biodiesel and other sustainable alternative fuels, energies, and technologies.

Indigenous Clean Energy (ICE) is a not-for-profit that advances Indigenous-led capacity building and collective action in Canada’s clean energy transition. We do this by supporting Indigenous leadership and broad-based collaboration with  communities, energy companies, utilities, governments, development firms, cleantech innovators, the academic sector, and capital markets.
