Sara Fowler is a senior undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with an emphasis in Global Health. She is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, with family ties to Coppermine, Arizona. Her clans are the Red Bottom People and White Corn Zuni. Sara also represents the Aaniiih (Gros Ventre) people of the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation in north-central Montana. Having been raised and lived on both of her reservations, Sara deeply values the cultural knowledge, experiences, and community connections that have shaped her perspective and commitment to public health. She is particularly interested in advancing health and well-being within Indigenous communities and contributing to efforts that address global and community health disparities. Sara is honored to join the IRES team as an intern this semester and looks forward to expanding her professional experience while contributing to meaningful work that supports tribal communities.
