McKenna Dunmyer

Graduate Assistant, Indigenous Resilience Center

I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of Arizona, studying under Dr. Vicky Karanikola, where my research focuses on PFAS, a group of persistent contaminants that can accumulate in the environment and living systems. My work focuses on advancing treatment methods for PFAS-contaminated matrices as well as understanding their fate and transport in environmental and biological matrices to better understand their behavior and potential health effects. Prior to my doctoral program, I obtained my B.S. in Chemical Engineering at the University of New Hampshire and my M.S. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Arizona.
