Growing Faith

Growing Faith features Dr. Michael Kotutwa Johnson, a professor of Natural Resources at the University of Arizona and 250th-generation Hopi dryland farmer. In the middle of the desert, Michael uses traditional methods to grow crops using limited rainfall and a firm belief in faith. These techniques, historically, overlooked by Western scientists, have become of increasing interest due to climate change and global resource scarcity. In this episode, we discuss the importance of reciprocity, belief, and feeding communities. If you're interested in Michael's work check out his Instagram @dr._hopi_farmer
