4 Week Sustainable Housing Workshop

Please join the Sustainable housing workshop on Monday April 15, everyday until Friday May 10th in Lupton Arizona (on the AZ side of the AZ/NM border). There are many different forms of sustainable housing, our solar hogan uses tires filled with earth to build the foundation and back walls of the house. The south facing side has a green house that will be used to regulate the temperature inside the house. We've made a lot of progress, this workshop we will be working to frame out the walls and put up a frame for the roof. We will be mixing and building with cobb, utilizing aluminum cans and glass bottle "bricks" and teaching principles of sustainable building with opportunities for hands on, experiential learning.
