Derrick Gonzales

Derrick is an artist coming from the Tohono O'odham Nation he's also a part of the Pascua Yaqui and Pima Maricopa tribes located in the southwest, he's currently attending Tohono O'odham community college for his associates in science in life science. He attended Ha:sañ preparatory and leadership high school, and also attended southwest university of visual arts a college in Tucson Arizona. He was one of three natives at the school and he had tot overcome many challenges of interacting with his environment. With a couple of months he left S.U.V.A because the school went bankrupt and that presented another obstacle. He's wanting to exercise the mind to push one another for the future for our little ones. He's excited to be able to express himself in this artistic way to be that tool to showcase all the beautiful minds and talents we have living in this world with us.
