IRES Library Book Spotlight: P is for Palestine by Golbarg Bashi, illustrated by Golrokh Nafisi

This month’s IRes Library book highlight is P is for Palestine: A Palestine Alphabet Book by Golbarg Bashi, illustrated by Golrokh Nafisi. This book is a beautiful celebration of Palestinian tradition, land, culture, cuisine, and community. I loved this book and learned so much about Palestinian culture through the words, art, and the (very comprehensive!) glossary included in the back. Surrounded by Golrokh Nafisi’s stunning illustrations, Golbarg Bashi presents a powerful story about Palestinian diversity, resilience, and identity. 

I highly recommend this book for people of all ages. It is a celebration of Palestinian people that the world desperately needs.
